Initial interview was a simple phone call that asked about my interest. It allowed me to ask questions and gave me an overview of Epic. They then flew me out to Madison, where I stayed for two nights.

The first day, I went to dinner with a number of prospective interns and a current employee. The following day was a relatively long day of interviews and talks about what Epic was about.

Epic covers all food, hotel, and plane costs for the trip.

Then there were two tests, one about math and one about basic programming. For developers, we had a third test on writing programs.

The rest of the interview process was a small talk with a developer about a project we had worked on previously.

Overall, it was a pretty low-stress interview process.
