Process

I applied online on their website and got an email from a recruiter soon after. I was set up for a phone interview and an online test at the same time.

I heard that EPIC takes the results of the online test more seriously than the phone interview, even onsite. So, I scheduled the phone interview for two days later and the online test for almost one month later.

The phone interview was pretty simple, with just a few basic questions like background, why EPIC, and why you chose to be a software engineer. There was also one design question, which was to design a mobile database remote client. Things you need to consider include security. Then, there were follow-up questions, like how to design a security question for forgetting a password.

The next step was the online test. I took a lot of time collecting previous test questions online and practicing all of them. Those questions can be easily found online (from CareerUp or Glassdoor). But the tricky part was the math section and quick questions. I could not finish the quick questions in time.

There was another part called a new programming language study, which is called MIIS.

After three weeks, I received a rejection email. I think the reason I did not get an onsite interview was the math section and the quick questions.
