Pros
  • Unfounded earning potential as a new grad with minimal previous experience.
  • Training curriculum/track is well developed.
  • Low cost of living + 100k by end of year 1 + Epic spouse + Epic stock + Lifer mentality = American dream made possible in 2025 (house, lake house, kids, Chevy suburban).
Cons
  • Experience is highly dependent on your first TL and AM.
  • Moving to AM, plus juggling multiple projects, weeds out a lot of people.
  • Penalizes you with small raises once you go Boost.
  • Conform to the culture or get out.
  • Too many proprietary tools/frameworks. Marketing them out is difficult.
  • Non-competes, if done by a market dominator like Epic, are indeed enforceable.
