Epic has some of the most dedicated, helpful employees you will ever meet. It's a great first job because just about everyone at the company is new and looking to meet new friends. People will go out of their way to help you be successful.
The management is wildly inconsistent. It seems like becoming a manager has more to do with being good at your job than being a good manager. I've worked with a few different team leads, and one of them was not great. I was ready to leave when I just happened to get reassigned to a better one. It can be great, or it can be terrible. You won't know if your manager's any good until you need help.
