I received an interview for an online coding challenge and completed all problems near optimally, as they were ones I'd encountered on HackerRank before.

I received a second email stating I was still under consideration and they would be in contact within four weeks after the initial interview. I tried emailing several times without a response. They finally replied to my fourth email, stating they were no longer interviewing for this position this year.

This process was terribly inefficient and lacked communication. Even if I were offered a job, I wouldn't accept it after witnessing how poorly they execute their interview stages. First impressions are important, and theirs was abysmal.

One was on run-length encoding, and the other was formatting dates that came in like "Jan 1st, 1967" and outputting them in the format of "01-01-1967".

Not terribly difficult problems, and nothing you wouldn't run into with some coding practice.
