If you're working in the "New F5" part of the company, I'm sure it's an exciting place. For those working to expand and support current product lines that aren't in the limelight, it isn't nearly as nice – sorry.
Compensation years ago was very competitive. Recently, it hasn't kept up with inflation or the market, at least in my area.
Work/life balance depends on where you are. 60-80 hours/week and early+late meetings are the norm where I am.
