Culture is good, hybrid is allowed, decent salary.
Being from IIT and comparing with other friends, they're not too happy with what they're paying. They're already paying me to the upper limit of what they can afford for SDE2.
The only reason for my promotion to SDE2 was also because I joined this company at ~70% of my previous salary. I joined it solely for the culture and wanted to have some good time.
Just to give an idea, my previous company salary was 26 fixed. F5 started with ~23 (17 fixed and ~6 stocks/other benefits). Even after promotion with 30%, they're giving ~30 (21 fixed and ~10 stocks/other).
It's kinda like, even after 3 years of experience, my total pay growth is ~10%.
Total: 3 technical rounds and 1 HR round. Each technical round is a combination of easy, medium, and hard questions. These problems are taken from LeetCode. Some questions are asked based on your current profile.
There were 5 rounds. Mostly, they asked about C, C++, data structures, and algorithms. The 4th round was about behavioral questions, and they were easy and interesting. Just why is this description 30 words?
They ask about data structures only, and they take 5 rounds. The first is a written test, then 2 technical interviews, then 1 manager level, then the last one is an HR round. The whole process is too lengthy.
