I struggled to identify meaningful positives in my experience. I would not work here again!
This is solely a review for Fanatics Betting and Gaming. The biggest issues were management, favoritism, and what often felt like nepotism. Opportunities and visibility did not always appear to be based on performance or merit, which was extremely demotivating.
There was also very little meaningful learning or professional growth. Employees were expected to deliver, but there was limited investment in their development or career progression.
Communication from management was inconsistent and often lacked transparency, particularly when decisions directly affected employees. Organizational decisions could feel abrupt, and employees were not always given clear explanations or adequate support.
The overall culture made it difficult to feel valued or secure. Employees can put significant effort into their work and still feel replaceable when organizational priorities change.
Address favoritism and perceived nepotism seriously, and make opportunities, promotions, and recognition genuinely merit-based. Improve transparency and communication, especially when decisions affect employees' jobs.
Management should also take responsibility for employee development instead of expecting people to continuously deliver without providing meaningful growth opportunities. Most importantly, employees deserve straightforward communication and basic respect, particularly when management makes decisions that significantly impact their careers and livelihoods.
I applied online. The process took two months. The interview was in four different stages. - Technical coding round (Remote) - 1 hr: The interviewer will ask you to complete a coding question on one of the coding platforms while being monitored. It
Multi-person interview on site where I got a chance to discuss previous work experience, projects, and a bit of the personal portfolio. Also got to discuss what working for Fanatics would be like and meet some of the team members, etc.
The interview process was smooth, but the interviewer didn’t provide any feedback. I emailed the recruiter asking for feedback, and she ignored the email. However, the process was quick and smooth.
