The most unprofessional behavior I have ever come across.

I was interviewed at Fidelity, Bangalore. After two rounds of interview, I was asked to join the company within 5 days since I was ready to join immediately. I accepted their offer. They said they would be sending the offer letter within 2 days. Just one day after confirmation, they sent a mail to send documents to initiate the background verification process. I sent them all the documents the same day.

I waited for two days, and the offer letter did not come. I called the HR regarding the same and was told that he did not know when the offer letter would come. That was such unprofessional behavior from an HR of such a company. I called him again the next day. He said that he was busy and would call me again.

As expected, I did not get a call from him. When I again called him for the offer letter, he said that the position was on hold. When I asked him that he could have informed me this earlier, he said that he had asked the recruiter to inform me.

This is so unprofessional. I had said no to other offers once I got confirmation that Fidelity was sending me an offer letter within 2 days. This is the worst and most unprofessional company I have ever come across.

Don't believe them. Just the day before joining, they may say that the position is on hold, and they won't inform you. You will have to call them again and again to get the information. They will just try to avoid you.

They asked about Spring and Hibernate, asked to write a thread-safe singleton class, SQL queries, and previous projects, etc.
