My manager is really nice. The work-life balance is pretty good. Teammates are very willing to help. As a fresh college graduate, this is a great opportunity to learn about the IT industry and to sharpen my programming skills.
There was a big learning curve about the application that I am supporting, and a lot of knowledge was not well documented in the team. It was a lot of trial and error for me to figure out exactly how things are being done here. Even though we are agile, people are working on their own stuff, and there isn't a lot of communication between team members. It also seems like performance isn't really based on merit but rather the length of time you have been in the team.
Performance reviews should be more merit-based. Managers should have more insight into what you do.
