Pros

Good products and diverse markets lead to strong revenue and stability. There is a lot of software in use within the company, and therefore lots of technology jobs, though there is pressure on them.

Cons

Senior Management is busy playing politics and trying to position themselves for personal gain, instead of doing what is best for the internal customers. IT is being pinched due to less than stellar product revenues, and management is holding on to an overweight organization instead of streamlining and making things more efficient to deliver business value.

Advice to Management

Stop jockeying for personal gain, take risks, and streamline the organization to deliver higher quality, more valuable software at a more rapid pace.
