Pros

Opportunities for growth are plentiful, along with the resources to enact on that growth.

Benefits structure is generous, with a large emphasis on health and retirement benefits.

Huge focus on delivering a good customer experience, as well as a focus on ethics in its dealings with customers.

A varied and diverse product line that allows for personal development and varied experiences across business units.

Cons

Bureaucracy coupled with frequent organizational change.

Structures are created and disassembled with lightening fast rapidity, inhibiting associates' ability to deliver.

Managerial empire building is rife, along with the political minefield that this creates across the organization.

Advice to Management

Consistency and persistence in organizational structures go a long way towards establishing the trust of employees and empowering them to believe in the course that is charted by senior management. Frequent changes undermine the huge progress being made in breaking down process barriers between business units.
