Pros

Great benefits. The job will last as long as you perform at average levels. Top performers get rewarded with company shares, bonuses, etc.

Cons

Old-fashioned policies when it comes to promotion. Your advancement is conditional to your current position, qualifications notwithstanding. The company seems to love the status quo. Challenges to it are met with resistance.

Too many layers and bureaucracy make everything slow. Project management is stuck in the 90s.

Advice to Management

Expand your minds when looking to fill leadership roles.

Be open to promoting principals to VPs if they are qualified.

There are constantly improving and learning principals who are frustrated with the stagnant directors and VPs who represent your status quo.
