Pros
  1. Beautiful campus.
  2. Nice cafeteria and break areas.
  3. Professional and competent staff.
  4. Management is hands-off.
  5. Availability of resources required to complete work.
Cons
  1. Management is aloof and arrogant. They don't know what's really going on and are out of touch with staff.

  2. Management draws conclusions without investigating facts.

  3. Contractors are not treated as part of the team. For example, contractors are three to a cubicle while employees have their own. There are many unoccupied cubicles.

Advice to Management

Weed out people who are not managers from management.

Train managers to communicate with staff, sensitize management to the needs of staff, and train management to encourage staff.

Suggest a web-based program which would allow employees to recognize each other for great work. This would work by granting each employee 6 tokens each year. The employee may use one of the tokens to recommend another employee. Each employee may only receive 3 tokens per year. The token allows the recognized individual to choose a gift.
