Good work/life balance. Possibility of taking a 1-year break. Decent pay and time off. Great pension plan. Great possibility of progress in your career.
Below market pay rate. Bureaucracy hell.
It is a great company to start your career, and many people stay for a long time due to the great benefits, but day-to-day life is not enjoyable.
Anything that you do in this company is a bureaucracy rat race. They supposedly have automated systems, tickets, and processes for everything, but nothing works. If you want to get something done, you will need to spend 80% of your time reaching out to people and asking them to do something for you. This is intensified by the fact that everything is so diluted into different teams that even the simplest task is a hassle.
Even the software that we use is over-engineered.
Need more simplicity.
Very straightforward and grilled on technical stuff, asked several questions on Spring Boot, Spring Security, AWS services like EKS, EMR, ECS, and S3. Also questions on several design patterns, how you used them daily. Challenges using AWS services,
Multiple rounds of technical, then a manager round, and finally an HR round. After this, you will have to wait for the business unit to align with your candidature, and then they will call you.
It was comprised of 3 sections: A conversation interview, a technical exam, and a group interview. Each section took around an hour. For me, all sections were on the same day.
