Software Engineer Interview Experience - New York, New York

Neutral ExperienceNo Offer

Process

  1. Completed online coding challenge - 2 questions, 90 minutes. Classic OOP/graphs questions.
  2. Videochat technical interview with engineer.
  3. Traveled to NYC for an onsite. 1 behavioral interview, 1 design interview, lunch break, 2 coding questions.

I feel like the behavioral questions were deemed very important; I nailed the coding questions but did not ultimately get the offer.

Cultural vibe was very serious. Environment felt very much like "work" as opposed to other tech startups. Lots of gray everywhere, and I had a headache by the end of the day.

Questions
