The hiring manager and I set up an interview for a week and a half out. The day of, five minutes after our interview was supposed to have started, she emailed me saying she was running behind and asked if we could reschedule.
I was annoyed that my time wasn’t being treated as valuable, but I rescheduled for the following week, which was the earliest she could do.
During our call, after exchanging pleasantries, she asked if I was willing to relocate to Bellevue, as the SF office was no longer hiring.
I responded I was not, and that essentially ended our interview.
It was not specified in the application that relocation was required, and the hiring manager could easily have asked me that in one of our emails leading up to the interview.
Disappointed to have my time and energy wasted.
I will be taking my talent to a different company that appreciates me.
Are you willing to relocate to Bellevue?
