Pros

Ford is a family-oriented company and at least claims to stress DEI. I appreciate the moves to orient Ford as an industry leader in innovation. Generally, there is good work-life balance, but it depends on your role and your people leader (supervisor).

Cons

The new performance rating structures are highly subjective, and without adequate support, individual employees often find themselves entirely at the mercy of their people leaders, who are human and obviously have their own biases.

Remote work is also eroding the camaraderie and human side of the workplace culture.

Advice to Management

Make it easier to reach HR and humanize it. Remote work has made it incredibly difficult to interact with others outside your immediate work group, meaning you never know if what you're experiencing as an employee is the normal course of business or management that needs better training.
