I found my internship very enjoyable.
I was assigned the task of building an internal tool to help boost productivity.
I had two mentors to assist me with requirements, but they gave me the freedom to build the application however I saw fit.
Other observations:
Some of my fellow interns weren't as lucky as me and said they were sometimes bored and didn't have much work to do.
I didn't get a chance to work on an actual team so I can't comment on that side of things.
The downsides of most typical large companies apply here.
