Pros: Flexible timings, scope of learning many products, and exposure to the complete product life cycle.

Cons: No ethics in the profession. Bad middle and top management. Not a very good business strategy (most of the time buying and selling businesses around the world).

Pros: You have the resources and options of a big company.

Cons: They are too ambitious in the amount of projects they take on and how much they expect their workers to handle. Employees are encouraged to communicate with their manager about workload, but managers are stretched so thin it's nearly impossible to get a hold of them. When you do and express your situation, you're told that everyone is busy, so just make it happen. The facility in Erie is also run down. It's an old plant, which can't be helped, but a cleaner, more modern environment would improve employee pride for the company.

Pros: Very good company to work for! One of the best out there! Company culture is awesome, with good benefits and opportunity to grow. I have experienced low-key bullying that didn't turn out to be a serious issue. Once reported, it was acted upon quickly and justice was made. They really take harassment seriously.

Cons: I don't have any downsides in my experience at General Electric Intelligent Platforms. Overall, it worked well for me. I have had a one-of-a-kind experience overall. It's the best place I have ever worked in the UK.
