Pros

Big, challenging projects. Opportunities to travel and see the world to install and repair products and educate customers. Work flexibility, depending on role and manager. Plenty of training and opportunity for advancement if you are identified as a high performer.

Cons

No real organizational structure; nobody tends to know who or what department should be making decisions or taking ownership. Internal IT applications and infrastructure are outdated and frequently inhibit working efficiently.

Advice to Management

Clearly identify your organizational structure and define the roles each department plays. Make sure that ownership and the strategy behind it are communicated to your employees; the employees need to know who is going to make decisions.
