Pros

Large organization, many roles to take on, different challenges, and a great bunch of people to work with.

Cons

Large organizations can grow slowly. Once you become an expert in an area, it is very hard to switch laterally or even vertically, as you become too important to replace. This can lead to a lack of contingency and succession planning.

Advice to Management

Succession planning ensures that employees progress vertically, and conversely, the organization is not too dependent on them either. Incorporate contingency systems.
