Software Developer Interview Experience

Process

Phone interview, short two-question programming assignment, one of which is possible to do in a single line in any high-level programming language.

Two Skype interviews with two different managers, one for software development and the other for DB management, mostly behavioral questions.

I thought the phone interview with HR was very strange. They immediately asked me what salary I was looking for before interviewing me and then offered me ~10k less than my minimum starting.

The offer was lower than what most startups pay and was definitely below average for Software Developers, after HR kept insisting that this was the typical starting salary.

Be careful when dealing with your offer. GM definitely tried to hustle me.
