Teams are different, but on mine, there is too much backstabbing, politics, and general negative, old-school attitudes.
Management is blind to the destructive attitudes and behaviors of favorites on the team. Project deadlines are not adjusted when external contributors are delayed in providing necessary information. Too much power is placed in too few hands. There's a lack of encouragement for collaboration. If you offer constructive criticism, expect to get your hand slapped. You're not recognized for going above and beyond.
