Pros

Lots of responsibility and autonomy.

Projects range in scale and difficulty.

My team(s) over the last 3 years have been nice.

Plenty of work and challenging problems.

Great benefits.

Cons

Very dependent on what team you're on, that will decide whether you stay or leave.

There are horror stories of bad managers and boring teams. There's also barely any room for growth. Expect to go from 5B to 5A, then to 6B and 6A, then stay a 6 for eternity.

Depending on the team, pay can either be horrible for the amount of work required.
