Hit or miss, dependent on which team you're on. Overall, a good experience, and General Motors is heading in the right direction. They are going to expect more from software developers.
may get placed on a team where few people care about the quality of the software they are delivering.
Management is moving around as well to have the right people in the right roles. I'm a fan of this direction.

Software Engineer
It was very good. There was a coding online assessment and then an hour of behavioral interview. I got the offer in the next month. General questions about General Motors. I was referred by a recruiter.

It was easy, and there was no coding portion of the interviews except the online assessment. The interviewers were very nice and easygoing. There were two interviewers who asked various questions.
