The only pro I can think of is they have a whole week of Christmas shutdown, and it will not use your vacation.
Despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we were required to report to the office three days a week and work for eight hours while wearing masks, creating an uncomfortable and challenging environment.
Furthermore, the fast-paced nature of the work environment, coupled with the negative reviews from our manager and the frequent layoffs every two years, has created an unsettling sense of instability.
To add to the stress, there is no work-life balance, and there have been no opportunities for growth or promotions in the five years I have been with GM, which is true for the rest of my team as well.
We were being told not to give references or recommendations on LinkedIn to team members who got laid off, which kind of upset me as their culture is the worst.
What's the point of giving advice when they have never changed?
First was an HR screening, and then a technical screening/interview. If I pass this one, then there will be more rounds, maybe around 3-4 look interviews, but I'm not sure.
I just got the screen call. All questions were kind of standard. There were some technical questions asked. The recruiter just took notes. I didn't end up with an offer, but the whole communication was going pretty well.
It is all behavioral questions. The one who interviewed me was an engineer, so they understood a lot of the references that I brought up. Overall, the interview was very laid back.
