I applied online and received an email from a recruiter at GoDaddy. The email included questions about why I applied to GoDaddy, which was to schedule a phone screening interview.
After a few days, I had a phone interview with a senior hiring manager. This interview took around two hours. He asked about my background and some general questions, as well as two technical coding questions. These were easy, and I completed them quickly.
He then mentioned that he liked my resume and that I had completed the coding challenges rapidly. He informed me that I would have another phone technical interview with a different senior engineer.
A day later, I received another email to schedule this next phone technical interview, and I had the second interview with another engineer. It lasted about an hour and involved two coding questions, which were also easy. I completed them quickly and passed all the tests the interviewer provided, confirming that my code worked well.
However, after the interview, I received no feedback for two weeks, even after inquiring about the status with the recruiter who had scheduled the interviews. After asking everyone I had met during the process for an update, I was told an update would be provided shortly. There was no update the following week.
After another week, I finally received an update: they had decided to move forward with another candidate.
(This is a typical email one receives when rejected after resume screening.)
I feel that the company does not consider a candidate's time to be important.
