Process
I had two telephonic rounds.
The first was a technical interview where I was asked basic questions in Java and database concepts.
The second was also a telephonic interview with a manager, where we discussed my experience and the projects I worked on.
After that, I was told I might have to take one more telephonic interview, but I have not heard from them yet.

Pros: Clean rooms, friendly staff, great location, good money.
Cons: Openspace. Lots of us were told to work five days from the office instead of three. Contracts are not extended. All contractors are like students: they don't understand what is going on, how long they would be working, what to do, or which project they would join. You can see other students from other years, and some time later, they disappeared and new ones appeared until it is your turn.

Pros: The people and the environment are the best reasons to work at Goldman Sachs. Everyone is committed to helping one another, no matter how busy they are.
It's very much a meritocracy; if you do well, they will give you more responsibility so that you will always feel challenged.
Cons: It's not an environment for superstars if that is what you like. All important decisions are very much group-based decisions, and the culture is very team-oriented. You are graded on how well you perform in a team because it's very important.

Pros: The company is filled with intelligent people, who seem highly skilled in their roles. It was certainly a good experience to have worked for very competent managers.
Cons: There is little flexibility in how you do the job.
The company is (for good reasons) very risk-averse and everything is tightly controlled.
The experience of working in a globally distributed team is probably also not for everyone and certainly means it is hard to build a 'team spirit' with people you will never meet face-to-face.
