Pros: People are open to receiving and giving constructive feedback regularly. For Software Engineers specifically, you get the chance to work on a lot of different parts of software development:
* Gathering user requirements
* Translating the requirements into code
* Testing
* Deploying technology
Cons: Low pay compared to competitors in the tech industry. Even the top performers were making less than the average performer at competing tech companies. Reviews and bonuses can be arbitrary and be based off of office politics. Some of the tooling can feel a bit outdated as well.
