Regional bias plays into promotions. More junior staff in high-value locations are promoted more quickly than staff in NY or London.

The ranking of individuals by management and the subsequent elimination of the bottom 5%-10% causes people to continually look over their shoulders.

Advice to Management

Eliminate the ranking of individuals.
