I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks.
It was a 2-month process: 1 chat with HR, 2 technical interviews, 2 Googlyness interviews, and 1 with the hiring manager. All interviews are in Spanish and English, half and half. The technical interviews were very simple, with basic ML questions and easy programming exercises. I'd say Leetcode Easy complexity. In the Googlyness and Leadership part, you have to show that you align with the company's values. The chat with the hiring manager was bad. He was driving, the connection kept cutting out, and he didn't pay attention to me. It was the only bad experience; the other 4 interviewers were super cool. I turned down the offer because they offered quite a bit less than what I initially asked for: 55k MXN gross and 1.2M total annual compensation, when at the beginning with HR I had mentioned a figure of 2M MXN.
Basic programming exercises and proper error handling. How to explain an ML system to a non-technical person. How you would design the Instagram News Feed.
