A recruiter contacted me via email, having found my profile on LinkedIn. This felt like a poaching attempt, as my current role, which I haven't held for more than a year, was clearly listed, and the company is a competitor to one of Google's divisions.
I had an HR phone call, followed by a firmware quiz. I couldn't answer one of the questions completely correctly, which resulted in an abrupt termination of all communications. This occurred despite my request to understand the question better by speaking to the hiring engineer.
The HR person also missed one of our meetings entirely, without any effort to reschedule. I had to email her to find out what was happening. It turned out she had run over into another one of her meetings. Very professional, indeed.
