An engaged recruiter set up what became five interviews:
The first coding interview went well.
For the next interview (systems design), the interviewer ghosted me without warning from the recruiter or anyone.
The next day, I had another coding interview scheduled. When the interviewer showed up, they began asking systems design questions until I spoke up and mentioned that the recruiter had stated it was supposed to be a coding interview. This was awkward and created tension between the interviewer and me.
I was ghosted again for another scheduled systems design interview. The process dragged on for over two weeks until the recruiter attempted to reschedule the remaining three interviews.
I gave up and moved on to other options. This was very unprofessional behavior on Google's part.
Coding problems related to efficient log parsing and b-trees.
