If you have a toxic manager, change your team ASAP. Do not lose time. Pick your team carefully. It is never too late. If you join a team which embraces your skillset, the sky is the limit.
Certain managers have close ties to the "bro culture." Both harassing female employees and those who are not willing to cheat the data to make results look good are issues.
If a manager consistently and always brings success, question it. Ask the team members; you would be amazed.
