It seemed like when I applied to Grab, there was chaos in the HR faculty. As a result, there were very long delays in communications as well as various contact points. I went through a coding test at HackerRank (or sort of), then four more one-on-one rounds consecutively. Among them, two of the first rounds were conducted by other teams, not the group I had wanted to apply to. My hiring manager conducted the 3rd round, while the last was with his boss.
Common questions they asked were about fundamental knowledge of Machine Learning, such as regularization, and distinguishing classification versus regression. Besides that, they provided some scenarios to examine my approaches to solving given problems.
It was a kind of frustration as I was not accepted after the last round, especially since it took months. They also sent an email with feedback, but it was not constructive and informative, stating I had shown a lack of basic knowledge. It is ridiculous!
What is the difference between L1 and L2 regularization?
