I was given a coding assignment with only two questions. I replied with my answers, but the meeting was immediately cancelled. The reason given was that I hadn't completed the assignment.

After some conversation via email, they sent another manual test case assignment and offered me a second chance. I was quite confused because the original assignment had only two questions, and it sounded like I had done something wrong.

So, I replied with my answers again. I was then told that the solution was approved and an interview would be scheduled, without any explanation of what went wrong.

During the interview, I was asked to imagine a feature and write test cases for it. I was quite disappointed because I'm not an imaginative person who can perfectly match an interviewer's imagined feature. This could lead to insufficient coverage.

Although I was allowed to ask questions, the answers given were quite generic, such as "same as the existing application outside." Such questions are impractical because we normally need to understand the domain and business logic before testing, not just rely on imagination.

Regarding the coding part, it would have been better if I had been allowed to use an IDE. I don't think anyone outside of this process relies on anything other than a compiler when coding.
