I applied online using Groupon's Career Page. This was my first LeetCode-style interview ever, and my first interview in over four years!

My interview process consisted of:

• HackerRank OA
• DSA Coding Round
• System Design
• Behavioral/HM Interview 1
• Behavioral/HM Interview 2
• Feedback & Negotiation Call

HackerRank OA:

• 1 LeetCode Easy & 1 Medium. Don't remember questions. No need to solve both with 100% test cases. I solved the first with all cases passed, and the second one only 9/13 passed, but still received a callback.

1. DSA - Design LFU Cache - exact from LeetCode

   • Design a LFU Cache - https://leetcode.com/problems/lfu-cache/
   • The interviewer was friendly and offered tips wherever needed.
   • I took some time to solve as I had never solved this before, but at the end wrote optimized code.

2. System Design:

   • Design a Customer Reviews page for Amazon products.
   • The interviewer was friendly. The round was decent, but in hindsight, it could have been even better. Lots of lessons learned.

3. Behavioral:

   • As per me, it went decent. Mostly TMAAT questions. The Hiring Manager asked a question: "Do you participate in Hackathons?" I said I did one year, but from the next year, I could not do it due to tight timelines and workload. Because of that reason, the Hiring Manager rejected me.
   • Since my other tech rounds went well, the recruiter arranged a different team and a different Hiring Manager to talk to me.

4. Behavioral 2:

   • She was one of the coolest Hiring Managers I have ever seen. We had a good conversation on multiple topics, as well as the tech stack and culture at Groupon, along with TMAAT.
   • The Hiring Manager herself said she is looking forward to working with me!
