Process
I received a call through a consultancy regarding an assignment. The interview process consisted of four rounds over one day.
- The panel was never available; someone else always conducted the interviews.
- There was no knowledge of the assignment I had submitted. Whoever I asked from the panel claimed they knew nothing about it.
- All irrelevant questions were asked, which is quite obvious when the panel is unavailable and unaware of what to ask regarding the role.
- The panel members themselves asked me if I had completed the assignment or if it was a HackerRank test when I inquired about the assignment.
Dear Groupon, before hiring anyone, please ensure you have an available interview panel. You are wasting everyone's time and will lose good candidates because the panel is not aware of the rounds a candidate has completed.
This is not about the feedback; even if it had been positive, I would never have joined after experiencing this. It was the worst interview process I have ever encountered in my entire career. I had to wait 40 minutes before each round.

Pros: I've been with the Groupon EDW team for the past two years. It was really good and great working here, learning lots and lots of new things every day. When I joined the team, the domain and system were a little new to me, but I received enormous support from my peers, which motivated me to learn more.
Though I faced several complexities in solving a problem, it developed my analytical skills, design thinking ability, out-of-the-box thinking ability, and technical problem-solving ability, and moreover, my eagerness to learn.
One thing I have to really thank Groupon and the EDW team for is that during my tough personal time, I was able to get help and support more than I expected. I also had real flexibility to take care of my personal issues as well as my work. People over here really care for each other, which is a great morale boost and creates a personal bond.
Thank you, Groupon and EDW Team. Your support and help enabled me to recover from a tough time in my life.
