Process

Honestly, this was one of the worst interview experiences I've had.

I applied through my campus career center. Two days before the scheduled date for on-campus interviews, the recruiter reached out to me to schedule a time. I happened to be free that day, but I did not appreciate the last-minute nature of this scheduling.

My interview session consisted of two half-hour slots. During the first half hour, I spoke with a senior engineer about my interests and background, and I completed a short coding question. For the second half hour, I interviewed with a software engineer who had joined the company about a year or two ago. The entire time, he was on his phone, checking email and frowning. I felt both annoyed and pressured. He made no comments on my code, and it seemed as if he had already given up even before the interview started. I found his behavior very unprofessional.

A week later, I received the standard, impersonal, automated rejection email. Oh well, there's no use worrying about this sinking ship.
