A recruiter contacted me by phone.
After the initial screen, I went in for a 1:1 meeting.
I was supposed to meet with 4 people, but only met with 2.
The questions were typical, asking for background information from my resume and then technical questions related to my resume. These included SQL questions and basic logic questions.

Pros: Friendly, collaborative atmosphere.
Always something new to learn and always someone to help.
Cons: If you are coming from a cube or office as a developer, you are in for a change. Turns out, change can be good.
Commuting benefits compared to other companies are lacking. For example, there are no Caltrain subsidies or bus lines.

Pros: You get to work with some brilliant people who really know software and care a good deal about craftsmanship. Great culture and work ethic of the people there. In some ways, Guidewire is a picture-perfect software company.
Cons: It's only true if you're a software engineer. Woe betide you if you're in a different department. It was hard to get information and requirements (at least this was true when I worked there).
