Software Engineer Interview Experience - Foster City, California

Process

The interview process began with a quick 30-minute phone screen consisting of basic data structures and OOP design questions. I was then invited for a 4-hour onsite interview.

I spoke briefly with the recruiter. The onsite interview included:

  • An OOP design question that lasted an hour.
  • An algorithm interview that involved recursion, also lasting an hour.
  • A coding question using an IDE on a computer.
  • A discussion with a manager about the company.

The interview process was good, and I felt it was a positive environment. I also felt I performed well, but two days later, the recruiter informed me that I did not get the job.

Questions

All I'll say is that the questions are different than what's posted on Glassdoor (since they realized too many people read the questions).
