Guidewire was a very cordial place to work. They seem to genuinely care about input from the employees. It still has a bit of a start-up feel.
Since it was the first year of the internship program, it was not the most organized. By the end, the project was done, and I didn't have much to do.
Start the internship process earlier in the school year and try to have people with similar start dates work on the same project.
First round with the Director. There was no greeting, and the interviewer directly jumped to a question. The question was to design an Iterator, which was very tricky. The interviewer was helpful in guiding, but did not give any extra time. Overall,
Interview Structure: * Codility test (2 rounds) * Pair programming (2 rounds) * System design (1 round) * Managerial (1 round) The interviewers were comforting and did not focus heavily on LeetCode problems. They also included me in daily meetings
Recruiter call (30 minutes) 1 round coding: Online assessment 1 round technical: 1 hour with hiring manager Panel interview: 3 panelists (including Product Manager and Senior Architect) for half an hour each.
