Pros

• CDP has the best tech stack.
• Best team.
• A junior engineer can make a difference.
• Opportunity to learn architecture.
• Manager (L1) was good.
• The VP is highly respected by engineers.
• The architect is very likable and knowledgeable.
• My product manager was great, but she recently quit.
• Heard this group pays well. I joined 3 years ago when this new team did not exist. When I was leaving, they were ready to give a good raise.

Cons:

• Overly fast-moving.
• FAANG-level interview bar, but pay not at the same level in the Bay Area.
• Production support and deployment with fast-moving development can be difficult due to too many production deployments and support.

It was great fun, learning, and rewarding working in CDP, but deployment and production pressures are taking a toll. May be a short-term pain.

Don’t lose good talent. Hire more.

Keep up everything else. One of the best-run teams in the company, keep it up.
