I only had a recruiter screen call, but it was pretty much a complete waste of time. The recruiter talked about himself during most of the interview; I barely could get a word in.
When he did ask me about myself, he basically asked nothing he couldn't get from my resume. He asked me if I had experience in system design for front-end components, which I did. However, he seemed hung up on what Gusto calls its system design team, which my company calls the shared UX team. I tried to explain that the work is the same, except for the difference in team name.
He seemed either not to understand or was too into himself talking to listen. He talked so much about himself that there wasn't any time left for me to ask questions at the end.
The kicker is the rejection email that partly states, "we know you may desire further assessment of your interview performance, but we cannot provide any feedback regarding interview outcomes." This is a joke for only a recruiter round. Furthermore, there was no thank you, and I don't really "desire" any feedback from this recruiter or the company.
Any experience coding front-end components?
