Software Engineer (Internship) Interview Experience - United States

September 1, 2018

Process

The first round was a personality interview where I was asked about my work styles and habits. It was very chill, and I got a chance to ask my interviewer several questions about Handshake! The second round was a technical interview, which was fairly standard. The third round was a 3-hour project that was a fairly involved simulation of something that was being implemented at Handshake. Next, I had a discussion with an engineer at Handshake about the approach I took in the project. This was a positive interview experience because I received positive validation at each step, and got more invested in the company with each interview.
