I received an email from a recruiter at Headway and went through the whole process, which took about 2-3 weeks from initial contact to an offer.

The whole process was pretty standard:

• Initial screen with a recruiter; basic questions about the role, your background, and what you're looking for.
• Basic tech screen. Practical, non-leetcode problem that can be done in any language.
• 3-part "final interview" which can be done all at once or broken up over a few days:
  • Part 1 was a systems design interview where you work through designing an Airbnb-like app. It specifically focuses on "startup scale" and is more about modeling and API design than architecture.
  • Part 2 was a behavioral interview which was pretty standard "tell me about a time..." questions.
  • Part 3 was another coding interview. This wasn't that much harder than the tech screen, though you must do this one in either Python or Javascript.

After that were just 2 reference checks and meetings with whoever you want to learn more about the company.

Overall, the whole process was pretty painless, and my recruiter was super communicative every step of the way. Everyone at each stage was real friendly and approachable and seemed to be happy and excited to work at Headway. I think most of the interview rounds weren't unfairly difficult and focused on real practical skills that would be needed on the job, which I was happy to see.
