Process

I applied online. The process took 2 months.

After sending my resume, I had an initial phone screening with the Lead Talent Acquisition Partner talking about the role I applied to (Backend Engineer). The interview is then split into 4 different rounds, one hour each:

  • First coding interview where you will be asked to complete an exercise using CoderPad
  • Second live coding using CoderPad, where they will try to dive deeper into your technical ability
  • Systems design. Classic systems design interview where you will be asked to design and draw components of the system (database, storage, interaction between components, protocols, etc.). There is no need for any particular business or AI/ML knowledge
  • Bring Something Awesome. This one is a fun one. Bring and present everything (technical) you want to showcase your passions and what motivates you in software engineering

Once you clear all that, you will have a final round with the VPoE which should be an informal discussion about you, the team, your interest, etc.

Questions

Q1: An exercise that involves tree manipulation.

Q2: File parsing and memory representation of a sequence of fixed characters.
