There were three rounds of interviews. The first was a phone interview with generic technical questions, fairly basic.
The second 1:1 interview was with two junior staff members of the team, who then proceeded to perform a more thorough and in-depth technical interview.
The last interview was 1:1 as well, but with two senior members of the staff. This was also a technical interview, but this time around, they went through my CV and questioned me about systems I'd worked on before, drilling me on the design and implementation decisions I'd made, according to what I could disclose about my previous work without harming intellectual property.
Most questions were around how to increase message throughput, enhance system performance, and some JVM tuning.
