I received a call from HR in Hyderabad stating that they have an opening in Pune for a Datastage Developer and asked if I was interested.

I replied "Yes." Then she asked some questions:

• Tell me about yourself?
• What is your current work and responsibilities in this company?
• Expected salary.

After these questions, she scheduled my telephonic interview for the next day at 11:00 AM.

On the very next day, I received a call from a technical person for the interview. They asked the following questions:

• Tell me about yourself?
• About your project and project-specific questions?
• Difference between Datastage Server & Parallel.
• Join, Lookup, Merge Stage.
• Aggregator Stage.
• Transformer Stage.
• Copy Stage.
• Active & Passive Stage.
• Some scenario-based questions.
• Dataset.
• Unix-related questions. Rate yourself and some commands.
• Oracle-related questions. Rate yourself.

It lasted around 1 hour. Then, they asked about my notice period and expected salary.

The next day, I received a call from HR again, stating that I had cleared the telephonic interview. Your F2F technical and HR interview is scheduled after 2 days.

The F2F interview lasted around 30 minutes, in which they asked only one technical scenario-based question. The rest were all managerial and DW-related questions.

In the HR interview, we discussed salary, which was a "vegetable market discussion." After a 30-minute-long negotiation, we agreed on a number.
